Polyphasic Sleep Day 29 – Slightly Less Zombied

Intro to Polyphasic Sleep | First attempt (lasted 30 days) | Second Attempt (lasted 7 days) | Third Attempt (ongoing)

After yesterday’s hell on Earth, today has been markedly improved. And I’ve been sleeping less than I ever have in the past – between 2hr20min and 2hr40min a day (7 or 8 naps a day). The normally-hellish early morning hours have been an absolute breeze for me and I’ve worked 4.5 hours without even thinking about a break. This is the life!

Though I’ll be quick to point out I’m still struggling to wake up as quickly and efficiently as I was 2 weeks ago before stuffing everything up. I’m finding it really hard to get up after a nap; my mind keeps trying to convince me to just go back to sleep for another nap. If I resist the urge and get up the feeling fades after about 5 or 10 minutes so it’s just a huge annoyance rather than a massive problem.

I’m still a little bit zombied throughout the day, but nowhere near what I was yesterday or the day before. The best way to describe it is I feel like every day is a Sunday – I just want to lay around and do nothing. I’m forcing myself to work on my to-do list and do the chores around the house but it’s a bit of a struggle. I can’t wait for the lethargy to go away. I really want to get back to where I was before just prior to my ski trip.
